Emotional Flooding, April 13, 2023

My heart rattled inside my chest as my mind scattered, and the entire room spun. At that moment, no one could pull me from the tale spin. I was being peppered with questions I could not understand, much less answer. I could not focus on any one thing, and my thoughts were littered with endless possibilities of what-ifs. I felt my windpipe close, causing my breathing to labor. My fingers curled into fits, and I shrugged my shoulders high enough to be earrings. My jaw was clenched to the point I feared I would break a tooth. I was flush, visibly shaking, and desperately needed a drink.
